• One Canadian has recently invented the best internship in the world. As a matter of fact, it appeared that it was my boss.
Typical working day: you come, seat at your desk without having anything to do. When you've done all that, you can also do nothing. If it's too much pressure, you can do it at home.

It requires a week to get used to. The second one, you take your Thursday and Friday off and go to Montréal.

    Alarm at 6 a.m. ==> back to sleep ==> Alarm again at 6.10 a.m. ==> f***! ==> carpooling ==> Montréal.

It is a nice city, really. American way of life, but in the French part (actually: québecois. A kind of French but like very funny. They may speak either about their mom or WW2, you cannot do anything but laugh).

Some big skyscrapers downtown, as well as little churches and Chinese temples, put together "chaos style".

    Chinese

                            Church

                                                             Church

Leaving the center, you reach Le Plateau, a huge neighborhood built in a totally different spirit: "No more than 2 floors" houses, restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, dogs' hairdressers and some road signs.

                                                             Houses

                             Restaurants

    Hype

It is the place to be (according to Wikipedia). What is cool cuz I was there. Sophie and Colin - a French non-Jewish couple friend of mine who cuurently live in Le Plateau - were very kind to lodge me in their five star basement.

But enough of bla-bla, what you're waiting for (more than the next Harry Potter in theater) is comiiiiing... right now.
What to do in Montréal during 4 days??

Well, if you ever get the opportunity, I suggest you not to follow my lead:
On Thursday I cricked my back and couldn't move anymore. The next day I spent my morning trying to get a Canadian insurance in case I had to see a doctor.
Fortunately, the two and a half day remaining were much better: tourism, restaurants, beers, improvisation theater, parties, and curling. Yeah baby, cuuuurling!!!

    Curling!

I checked it on the list "Things You Have to Do Once in Your Lifetime".

And every Sunndays in Montréal, hundreds of people are going to the Mont-Royal hill to play Tam Tams. It is magical, everybody play together, some of them dance, other sing... You have to see it to believe it.
By the way, I didn't saw it, I overslept!
    Good excuse to go back.
